FAQs
What is “Ask Shellie”?
It’s the place where you can reach me directly. If you’re curious about my work or looking for support with a project, this is where the conversation starts.
What kind of work do you do?
I help nonprofits, businesses, and leaders with project management, risk strategy, and learning design. My focus is on making complex challenges feel clear and manageable while setting the stage for sustainable growth.
Do you lead workshops or give talks?
Yes. I enjoy speaking about risk management, leadership, resilience, and how adults learn in professional settings. If you’re looking for a workshop or a keynote, use the contact form to get in touch.
Do you work only with organizations?
Not at all. Most of my clients are teams and organizations, but I also work one-on-one with professionals who want to build skills in project management, leadership, or resilience.
What is your background?
I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), as well as a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP). And I am currently completing a doctorate in applied learning science. My career has expanded step by step, moving from project work into consulting, teaching, and research.
Do you also write?
Yes. Writing is part of how I process ideas and share them. I write about leadership, learning, and resilience, often weaving in personal experience. You can find some of my work on this site and through my consulting projects.
How soon will I hear back if I reach out?
I usually respond within a day or so. If your request is time sensitive, mention that in your message and I will do my best to prioritize it. Or you can text me at 813.541.7466.
Where are you located?
I live in Tampa, Florida, but I work with people across the country and beyond.
Can we connect on social media?
Yes. You can find me on Threads and Bluesky where I share insights, reflections, and ideas related to consulting, learning, and real life.
